Kevin Wey 11-14-2003, 01:42 PM UGH: So Fibiger has a broken wrist, that sucks. So much for him getting a chance. Let's see, it'll end up Stuart, Hannan, McLaren, Rathje, Davison, Preissing, Fahey, and Ehrhoff. I guess since McLaren, Rathje and Davison are all banged up a bit, Ehrhoff could find his way into the line-up, but...I doubt it. If they plan on playing Ehrhoff, great, but if it seems unlikely, I'd have rather the Sharks recall Matt Carkner or Robert Mulick. (Mulick?! Yeah, why not? If he's going to be a 7th or 8th defenseman...) Serena587 11-14-2003, 05:09 PM I think Fibiger is supposed to be out for 4 weeks. He may get a chance after that. Watson was not recalled to the Barons, it was Labenski who was called up from Kalamazoo. I have to say I'd be surprised to see Mulick recalled....but why not? Let's see what he can do when given the chance. corbanSOG 11-14-2003, 08:27 PM interesting move for the sharks to carry 8 defensemen and no extra forwards. i guess this means primeau will be back in the lineup. or maybe wilson plans on dressing 7 d for saturday's game. do you guys think rissmiller gets moved to center (assuming they don't play 7 d), or will primeau or someone else play on the 4th line? mage23 11-15-2003, 01:43 PM interesting move for the sharks to carry 8 defensemen and no extra forwards. i guess this means primeau will be back in the lineup. or maybe wilson plans on dressing 7 d for saturday's game. do you guys think rissmiller gets moved to center (assuming they don't play 7 d), or will primeau or someone else play on the 4th line? I would imagine Primeau steps right back into the #2 center role with McCauley and Korolyuk on his wings. Ekman will get moved down to the 4th line, but as Wilson loves to do, he'll get shifts with other lines as the game goes on. Korolyuk has been playing fairly well in the past few games, so I can't see Wilson moving him down to the 4th line. Who knows, maybe they'll sit Ekman or Korolyuk and put Davison up on the 4th line with Parker and Riss for a few shifts to go change some momentum with 6 other D dressed. That would allow them to use a guy like Fahey only on the PP and Davison only on the PK if they chose. Umm, if the Sharks second line will be McCauley Primau Korolyuk it would really suck :-) I mean :-( Do you really think Primau is really that good? hmmmm X-SHARKIE 11-15-2003, 04:22 PM Umm, if the Sharks second line will be McCauley Primau Korolyuk it would really suck :-) I mean :-( Do you really think Primau is really that good? hmmmm Where have you been? Primeau has been contributing as much as any Shark. Stats won't show it but he's been one of the best Sharks nite in nite out IMO. SpinTheBlackCircle 11-15-2003, 04:51 PM Wayne's been a helluva lot better than Keith this year. Serena587 11-15-2003, 05:10 PM UGH: So Fibiger has a broken wrist, that sucks. Fibs had surgery on his wrist and is now out indefinitely. :( mage23 11-16-2003, 12:15 PM Umm, if the Sharks second line will be McCauley Primau Korolyuk it would really suck :-) I mean :-( Do you really think Primau is really that good? hmmmm Yes, I do... and anyone watching him would agree. He's been hampered by a bit of an injury recently, but I never worry about effort when he is out there with McCauley. Now, is he a 2nd line center for a Cup winning team? No... but he's contributing well (when he's in the lineup) for us. In all honesty, who would be a better option on this team? I guess you could argue that they should use McCauley as the center, moving Primeau down to the 4th line with Smith out, but then we'd need to find another top 6 winger. I guess we could always recall Todd Harvey. *snicker* MarleuFan 11-16-2003, 01:32 PM Sorry, but when I wrote that comment about not being happy with the second line of McCauley and Primau, I had ment that to be a good team they should bring in some one else from outside the organization because we need a pure scorer. I think this is why we have been getting all those ties. The Sharks get many shots on goal and outshoot the opposition on most days, but there are very few snipers on the team. | ||
