On the Sox the whipping Boy from my POV is Josh Beckett...
The guy should be a K an inning,a sub 4.oo era and not giving up 3-4hrs per 9ip
I think he will get his act together but hes a main reason the Sox are falling out of AL East contention.

The guy im a huge fan of is Wily Mo Pena
Ive always thought he was gonna be a future 40hr guy and when he came over for Arroyo i was estatic
Even when Arroyo looked like a CY contender for 8-10 weeks and Wily Mo was on the DL i still never lost faith in the deal and knew a large part of Arroyos success was being in the NL

I think for the A's - it's the same guy...Jason Kendall & his team high $11mil/yr contract

Love for:

confident in his calls behind the plate - genious
hailed as the veteran tough guy badass, workhorse
capable lead-off man

Yet, NO love for:

bloated contract for the small market A's
weak arm
GIDP 'specialist' (man on first? ugh - call it)
$$$argh

For the Pirates, the player who can do no wrong is obviously Jason Bay.

As for the player who pisses me off.. it was Kip Wells, but he was recently traded. Now, I'm leaning towards Soloman Torres.

For the Yankees:
The player who can do no wrong, who is not a star is either Melky Cabrera or Ron Villone. Both of them have played some great baseball for us this year.

The player who can do no right is most certainly A-Rod. The Rangers may be paying a chunk of his contract- but he still is overpaid. And he most certainly still sucks! His defense is an embarassment and in the clutch he is an automatic out. He is the antithesis of Jeter- thus Yank fans hatred of him.

I know they're not players but I so wish an unmanned aircraft would fall directly on top of Phil Garner, Tim Purpurra and Garner's wife. Maybe Morgan Ensberg could also get a job as a professional fly swatter and Brad Lidge could try the Drive Thru at McDonalds somewhere cause he's been serving 'em up perfectly all year...I see an employee of the month in his future.:madfire: Thank god for Berkman, oswalt and Luke Scott. Roger deserves better than this.

For the Jays I've never liked Josh Towers but I supposed he doesn't count anymore. Same for Hillenbrand and Shoenweiss. I guess the player that drives nuts now is Troy Glaus.

The player that can do no wrong in my eyes is Frank Cattalanotto.

Just going by the current active roster(because the departed Red Sox i.e. Seanez, Harris, etc. are too many to name)-

**** List:Beckett, Tavarez, Timlin, Javy Lopez, Coco Crisp
Hinske is dangerously close to joining this list

Can do no wrong:Schilling, Lester, Youkilis, Lowell, Manny

Gods among men:Papelbon, Ortiz

For the Reds, this is pretty easy:

**** list: Every pitcher but Harang, Arroyo, and Bill Bray, plus Jason Larue - paid a hefty sum for being a platoon player.

favourite non star - Well, if Ryan Freel isn't a star, then that's the pick. I have a feeling he's quickly become a star though, so my other choice would be Rich Aurillia. He's come up with big hits all year and has played all over the infield. Just a good guy to have around. Honorable mention: Scott Hatteberg. Solid hitter, decent power (especially for those of us who'd gotten used to Sean Casey).

For a Blue Jays, I always hated Hinske, and I don't know why...maybe because he'd always strike out at the wrong time :dunno: . Thank god they traded him (and Hillenbrand and Shoenweiss for that matter... :sarcasm: ).

The Doc is the guy for me that can do no wrong. Future Hall of Famer!

Hinske looked like crap going down on 3 straight 95mph fastballs that were just simply thrown right threw his bat the other night vs Rivera, i would never take anything away from Rivera but make some ****in contact and put the ball in the air to win the game on a sac fly!

How the hell did Halladay become so good...i know hes been a CY contender and winner over the last 3+ seasons but i remember when i first saw this guy he didnt seem like anything specail

pisses me off: it was mike cameron(GREAT guy, but man, did he know how to strike out in key situations, EVERY SINGLE TIME), this year...I have to say so far it's Lastings Milledge. It's not the rookie mistakes, and it's clear he's got talent...but his cockiness and rotten attitude are getting old, fast.

favorite non-star: jose valentin. this is a guy who was signed to be in our minor league system, a guy everyone thought was done...and he's quietly had an outstanding year for us both at the plate and on the field. hope he gets healthy soon, we need his presence in every way if we're going deep.

No right:

Garrett Anderson. I know he's a good player and all, but his lackadaisical (sp?) play drives me nuts.

Kevin Gregg: The human victory cigar....for the other team. Gets lit up every time he's out there.

Dallas MacPherson: Oh wait you meant major leaguers.:sarcasm:

Adam Kennedy: Game 5 versus the Twins aside...he drives me crazy.

No wrong:

Chone Figgins: Can play every position in the field (except pitch, catch and 1B). The motor that makes the Angels offense run...literally.

Scott Shields: Very under rated set-up man. Can pitch about 3 million innings per year.

OC: Very smooth fielder. Really stepped up his offensive game this year.

John Lackey: Solid pitcher. Ace of the future.

The player on the Indians who can do no wrong has got to be Grady Sizemore. He's a crowd favorite and has very qietly developed into a premier 5 tool player. As for who is the perpetual **** up? Well, we have ridded ourselves of Souerbeck, Graves and Mota so who does that leave left? Probably Jhonny Peralta. He started out cold then really started to heat up, and now he sucks again.

No wrong: Barry Bonds (though he needs to go, he is done)

It must suck having the OBP leader on your team. His batting average sucks, but in spite of this he leads the majors in obp and has an OPS just shy of 1.000. For any player in the league, this would be considered a good season, but I guess for Bonds its not.

The Big Chill

For my Royals, the player that can do no wrong right now is Mark Teahen. He is starting to hit the ball well, and is only getting better in the field. He is young so he is relatively cheap, so IMHO he is a steal. What more could you ask from a young guy like Mark?

I am really getting tired of Mike Sweeney. He makes a big chunk of cash, and is constantly hurt. If he could stay healthy, he would be an all-start caliber first baseman. But when he does play, he is slotted in at the DH spot. Ryan Shealy is filling in awesome for him. This gives some time off for Doug Mientkiewicz as well.

I can't wait for Billy Butler to come up through Omaha. He should be a great player. I am thinking he is the Evgeny Malkin of the American League, minus the manhunt. :D

Yeah but he's not worth the 15+ million we would pay him to stay next season. And for Bonds' standard, this season has been downright terrible.

After his early struggles, he just lost all the confidence in himself, he just couldn't catch a break. So the Jays sent him down, and he went down all the way to A ball and worked with Mel Queen. With Mel he changed his arm angle, it was more to the side then top when he pitched, so it was harder for the hitter to pick up the ball when he released it. Also Mel worked with his mind, he just made him believe himself and taught him the mental side to pitching which he dearly lacked. He then was recomended to see a Doctor forgot his name to work on his mental side. Halladay said that doctor helped him alot and made him mentally stronger.

Because he's Barry Bonds. End of story. If he takes a pay cut, a major pay cut, to stay, I'd love him around. But I want to rebuild, end the Bonds era, easily the best in SF Giants history since the Clark-Williams years.

Don't get me wrong,I like the guy,but sometimes I feel like he's doing absolutely NOTHING to help the team. He doesn't run or dive after the balls when he needs to,he doesn't hustle when the time is right, and he lazily swings at pitches.

This will be unpopular here since there is no NHL in Seattle, but the prolem with the Mariners is Mike Hargrove. We wonder why his *** isn't fired before every game. And If you have noticed, Ichiro (the only positive smidgen in the organization) has fallen off the map compared to his usual yearly stats, and it totally looks like he is throwing games. Never seen so many ugly strikeouts lately from anyone else, and yes this is Ichiro were talking about. But that may just be because Hargrove puts Willie Bloomquist in every game.

No wrong? That is easy. Raul Ibanez:bow: , seemingly aging and mediocre is quietly about to surpass 100 RBI this season and hit 30 home runs. And his fielding has improved since he left the DH role after the Broussard trade.

meh, everett is what he is...phenomenal fielder with no stick. If it wasn't for adding his bat to Ausmus' and the nine hole he wouldn't be any liability. Opposing pitchers must lick their chops looking at our line up. The bottom third almost makes for 6 inning games.:madfire:
