The Senators would like to host an all-star game here, but commissioner Gary Bettman would like to see a draft in Ottawa first. Next year's draft will be held in Raleigh, N.C., while the 2005 all-star game will be in Phoenix. That means the Senators may have a chance at hosting the 2006 all-star game.

I'm not a big fan of All-Star Weekend, but I'd definitely be interested in seeing the young guns game or whatever they call it. I think the all-star game should change to more of a future stars format, because they are the one that are more likely to enjoy the atmosphere and want to play. I'm sick of hearing the vets decline to play, and so on and so forth.

Good for our economy, even on that small scale, I'd rather have it than not.

Good call by the NHL. I will be anxiously awaiting the weekend.

Now to get the entry draft here in a few years as well.

Depending on how far in advance they have it booked, we'd go back in the front of the line for the next available unscheduled one. So maybe 2006 or 2007.

No... Entry Draft Entry Draft Entry Draft please..

Trade the game to Carolina for the draft and we'll throw in "Coach" Coffey.
