and Bernier played yesterday, but recorded no points.
By the way X-SHARKIE, thanks for those college updates.
I am glad the Sharks finally went out adn drafted Michalek, Bernier, Hennessy this draft year.
The past few drafts they got a bunch of defensemen and 3rd line type players apparently.
the 3 from this draft seem to be skill guys destined for the top 2 lines.
That Doug Wilson is proving himself quite nicely. What will he do next?
By the way, I love how that line of Sturm Marleu Damphousse has been playing!

I watched Hennessey twice this weekend.
He has speed to burn and is really shifty. Great pick by San Jose.

Thanks for the Hennessy update and thanks for reconizing mine. Sharks definitly walked away from the draft with 2 players who well be key players for the Sharks in 5 years and mabey even in the NHL. I also like Hennessy alot. I havent seen Carle play, I'm excited to see him soon.
I dont know what we'll do next. Depends on how good we do this year. I hope we take a sniper. Drew Stafford fits the bill so does Jakob Sindel. Sharks have good options in 2004.

Hey X-SHARKIE - I always appreciate your enthusiasm.
Do you know which league Carle is playing in?
About your post in a different thread about Harvey - it would make sense if he went in as a throw-in in the Comrie deal.
I think Edmonton may be looking for more than just Zetterberg though.
By the way, Damphousse is playing very well on that 1st line now with Marleu and Sturm. But how about this:
Trade Damphousse + throw-ins to Detroit. They send something to Edmonton. Edmonton sends us Comrie.
Then we turn around and sign Ronning to play right wing on the Sturm-Marleau line instead of Vinny.
That would be sweet.
The lines would be
Sturm Marleu Ronning
McCauley Comrie Primau
Thornton Ricci Chechoo
Parker Smith Ekman
with Korky as a scratch or maybe that throw-in.
Defense:
Rat McClaren
Hannah Stewart --- a very solid top 4
Erhoff Preissing Davison
that would be such a cool, young lineup with a bunchof rookies waiting to break in.

carle plays for the university of denver
edmonton won't want harvey. too much money, not enough skill. as part of a 3-way deal, possible, but not likely.
we don't need ronning. especially if we get comrie. he doesn't fit in with doug wilson's plan for the team. the sharks are not gonna be playoff contenders this year, so they don't need some veteran to plug a hole. they need young talent that will improve the team now and in the future.
if sharks get comrie, i'd like him on a line with marleau and sturm. whooo...that'd be sweet. but i'm beginning to become more and more convinced that it will take one of marleau, sturm, hannan, or stuart to land comrie. and i'm still not willing to make that deal. i don't see us getting him through a 3-way deal where we get rid of guys we don't want to stick around anyways (ie damphousse, harvey). that's just wishful thinking on our parts.
