The Avs website says differently.

CURRENT SCORING STREAKS (three or more games)

Colorado Avalanche

Alex Tanguay - 8 games (2g/6a)
Rob Blake - 6 games (1g/5a)
Joe Sakic - 5 games (2g/3a)

i still don't see this imaginary point that he's getting vs. minnesota. both yahoo and espn have him getting 0 points that game.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/players/gamelog?statsId=1763

http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/players/1763/gamelog

i don't think TSN or NHL.com have gamelogs for each player, but the point totals are the same so he couldn't have had a point that game. his streak is 8 points in 5 games. also, i don't think it's coincidence that tanguays game total according to the avs site is 8 games, sakic's is 5(which is actually 5 points in 3 games), and blake's is 6(actually 6 points in 5 games). the avs site made a mistake, pure and simple. where it says games it should say points :)

According to the NHL, Tanguay did not score a point against Minnesota:

http://www.nhl.com/onthefly/scoreboard/htmlreports/GS020173.HTM

And if he was on an 8 game points streak, it would have to be longer because he scored against the Flames on Oct. 28 which was the ninth game back from now. Just because the Avs website says he is on an 8 game streak it doesn't mean it is true. After all this is a team that won't tell the truth about Forsberg's injury even though his dad, best friend, and even himself have told Swedish newspapers that it's an abdominal injury.

He has eight points in the last five games and was scoreless in the 4-4 tie against Minnesota six games ago.

Interesting fact: Tanguay has scored points in 15 the 17 games he has played in so far this season.

Well it doesn't matter now, his streak is over, as he went without a point against Anaheim.

Wow Tanguay is a better leech than I thought... still producing off Forsberg even when he's wearing a suit watching the game from a press box.
