From Quad Cities Site:
Moline, IL - Andy Fermoyle, who established himself as a quality defenseman with Quad City last season, has signed to play his second pro season with the Mallards. The announcement was made today by team President/General Manager Howard Cornfield.
Fermoyle (pronounced "FUR-moil") achieved an outstanding +32 plus/minus rating in his rookie season of 2000-2001, finishing second among UHL defensemen and second among UHL rookies. Though he scored just three goals during the regular season, two of them were game-winners.
"Andy played a big role in our championship run," said Cornfield. "We expect that he will continue his development and will make a significant impact on this year's team."
The 25-year-old Fermoyle becomes the second player from Minnesota State University-Mankato to sign with Quad City for the 2001-2002 season. Rookie forward T.J. Guidarelli signed earlier this week. The Mallards have five players under contract, including Fermoyle, Guidarelli, goaltender Joe Dimaline, rookie forward Brandon Sampair, and rookie defenseman Dylan Mills.
