It talks of his earning some respect around the league as one of the better goalies to play.

The Blues are also trying to earn that respect around the league as one of the better teams in the NHL.

My question is this:
If the Blues go through Vancouver, Colorado and Detroit in the playoffs and then beat New Jersey in the Cup finals, do you think that they will get any respect from the league for winning? Or will it be a fluke like Vancouver a few years ago, or Anaheim last year?

Yes, they'd get respect. The Blues are accepted as a 2nd tier team. Anaheim was not.

Don't know about anyone else...but I've always liked and respected the Blues and hope that they will win the Cup (just not at the Devils' expense, of course).

Good Luck!
