who is Janne Niskala?

I see for his age he is doing great as a Defenseman and has good size.....just turned 22 I do belive, is he drafted by any NHL teams..if not does he have good potential to make it to the NHL some day?

He's undrafted. Niskala is a flashy offensive D-man who has lots of work to do with his defensive play. Basically a poor man's Petteri Nummelin, but with better size.

That said, he's played very well this season. Not a hopeless case at all. Worth drafting IMO.

Aren't they just about the same size? Nummelin 178 cm/83 kg vs. Niskala 180 cm/82 kg - not that much of a difference.

Yeah, something like that. But I'd still take 5'11/6'0 (depending on the source) over 5'10.

Niskala had a great November: eight points (5+3), +7 in seven games and he was named player of the month by SM-liiga.

Nummelin is listed taller than he really is.. He is max 175 cm.Niskala, on the other hand is a legit 181 cm, so he is about two inches taller.
