He's a quick, smart, two-way forward. Think like Walz, but not as good at the moment.

Normally he's beyond solid on D and can create offense with his smart playmaking and good work ethic. This season though, he's had some difficulty hanging onto the puck, so he's caused some bad turnovers and hasn't been able to create much in the way of offense. It's most likely a sophomore slump combined with lackluster play through the lineup.

He's not going to play much above the level of a third line center, but he should be good in that role throughout his career.

so when modano leaves and the team gets younger... kapanen won't move up to 2nd or 1st line? He isn't good enough now or later?

Doubtful. Agree with Glu. Arnott has/will be top line and Lundqvist may have that kind of talent if he improves his skating. Otherwise not much from the young guys(Appears Erikkson will be a winger) as fasr as center talent. Hagos likely being a thirdfourth line type as well with different strengths
