Is he for real and what you guys see him in the future ? :dunno: i really dont know right now,i cant watch the games to tell you how i think hes doing or how well he will do but i hope he turns around and does well bc i dont want him to turn into a alexander daige or maholtra..im kinda worried we brought him in to early and didnt send him down for a couple games like every younge player does..we'll see what happens, right now he needs some confidence to build on Spankatola Jamnuts* 11-27-2003, 09:16 PM The change in him since his early benching has been nearly as dramatic as that of Vishnevski's IMO. He was arguably the 2nd-best player on the ice yesterday. Duckstudd269 11-27-2003, 09:33 PM I will admit i didnt care for Chistov at all for the longest time, but lately ive gotten to watch a few duck games, and he has been a great player. not a kovalchuck, but a good player, definately can be up there with him, has the potential to anyway, the only thing he needs to do is shoot more. alot more. and he needs to work on that shot, and he will be a great player. am i worried? nope, he's definately improved this year, and he is gonna just keep improving. Chistov looked really fast against the Devils. Now he just needs to get the monkey off his back and get a goal. Pwnasaurus 12-01-2003, 05:32 AM He's really a superb playmaker when he gets some space but one thing that troubles me is he lacks both the power and solid accuracy to be a consistent goal scorer at this point. He's never going to be a guy who can rip one from the circles facing a goalie and get a goal....he needs to be fed cross ice perfectly or beat a tender in alone with his array of speed/moves to score goals. Not that there are too many guys that can get a decent amount of goals facing the goalie and just ripping it but unless the goalie is out of position, Chistov has no chance at this point. soya_sauce_chicken 12-01-2003, 07:06 AM Chistov has been my 2nd best player for the Ducks when they had Kariya.. Like someone stated earlier.. he needs to get that one goal to get thwe monkey off his back.. he skates hard, and he plays more physical than last year imo. i'm sure he will get his goal soon enough... chum 12-02-2003, 12:25 AM Chistov looked really fast against the Devils.
