I had a feeling that the sens would score the first goal tonite, now that we got that out of the way, it's time to go on a win streak.

Well I was wrong about Lalime stealing the show since it was Prusek who started. Shows how much thought i put into gameday predictions.

Hopefull we can mark this day as the day the Sens decided to join the rest of the NHL for the regular season.

Sheesh...took'em long enough...

The most complete game the team has played all year, IMO. Great from start to finish.

Prusek was amazing. Apparently Lalime came down with the flu so it’s no major injury but Marty stepped up big time today with his best game of the year easily.

Redden, Rachunek, and Volchenkov were great tonight. Nice to see Anton get a goal as he’s gaining confidence. Chara is still getting beat outside too often and stops skating at times.

I thought Havlat and Bonk really played well together tonight. The first goal was off of the d-zone coverage after the Sens gave the Flyers nothing, then counter and score off a nice bounce.

Overall, the team has to be happy. They need to play like that to win.

That is a relief. :handclap:

This game was an important win for a few reasons.

THe first goal is obviously a big one. It was a huge monkey on this team's back.

Second, this is the first win against a team that made the playoffs last year since we beat Anaheim in October. This feels like a legitimate win.

Third, it was a close game. Even though the final score indicates otherwise, this game really was up-in-the-air in the third, and the Sens held on to win. In many of our other victories that we thought may turn-around this team, the team only played well in spurts. This was a much more consistent effort. It wasn't a perfect game for the Sens by any means, but they never fell asleep behind the wheel, which is an important step.

The roundtrip down south should be interesting. The Sens often lose their focus when they go down there (I would to, being surrounded by palm trees).

Anyways, good to see them pull out a quality win, now lets hope they keep this up.

It's all because I kept flipping over to Fear Factor and missed the first three goals.

Lately it seems they only score when I'm not watching. I hate reverse curses!

Lucky for the Sens the wife has ensured that I will be away from the tube.

Anything for the team, right?

If your reverse karma continues, can you be busy from the start of April to the middle of June? Perhaps a 2 month cruise around the world with your wife would be in order?

If a pair of tickets to see the Sens in the Stanley Cup finals (any game will do thanks) is offered up for this noble sacrifice then sure........I'll avoid the tv for a few months!

do I detect a note of sarcasm on this thread ?

I think we all pretty much know that come game 82 the senators will be a top team in the east and will likely play lights out hockey.

here is hoping they make the finals versus vancouver
