Do you think the Stars would be interested in Comrie? I read on tsn.ca today that the Oilers now wanna package him in a deal with a 2-for-2 or 3-for-3 deal. They now don't want to trade him straight up anymore. Some of the names being thrown around were Eric Brewer, Ryan Smyth, Brad Isbister, Jason Smith or Georges Laraque. The only name that interests me there is Ryan Smyth, but I don't know if the Stars would be looking at the Oilers as a trading partner in this case.

I would not want Comrie. He's small, selfish and most of all, plays a position which already happens to be overloaded. I would luuuve to get Smyth though, but we have a younger version of him in Morrow. Still, I'd like to have him, but because he nor Comrie wouldn't be necessary, I wouldn't cough up the parts that would be required in order to land him. I think Morrow, Kapanen, Miettinen, Daley, those guys will have to be included.

The Stars don't need Comrie...where on earth would we put him?
The last thing the Stars need is another center. Especially one that would probably take some of our best young players or prospects away.
While I wouldn't mind adding Smyth (imagine Smyth, Morrow, Ott, and Tjärnqvist down the left side), I wouldn't take on Comrie to get him at any cost.

Yeah I agree we don't need Comrie, I just saw the article and wanted to see what u guys thought about it. We would hafta give up a fair bit to get Smyth and/or Comrie here which would not be the best for us.
Now if Edmonton offered up Ales Hemsky, if I was Armstrong, I would be all over that trade. :D
