He cleared. Reminds me of that song... "Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat worms." Well maybe its not that bad.

What I hate about this is that I would love to see Wings prospect Joey MacDonald play more Grand Rapids. He has been playing well in the games he has started. Does this mean he gets nudged out?

I would venture to guess most likely...Cujo is going to get the majority of the work, in hopes that someone somewhere will take him.

Even if he does play a ton in GR, it still isn't NHL action, he'll need to get some more time with the Wings, because every team has AHL goalies they could call up and it won't cost them Cujo's salary. If the Wings buy him out during the season, he could wind up going to a contender for nothing.

You know, I sometimes wonder whether some GM's around the league call Holland up and tell him to play Cujo just so the wings can lose.
Think of this scenario...

Sather: Kenny, how's Cujo's ankle holding up?
Holland: Just fine. The doctors say he's at 100% and able to play again.
Sather: Yeah? Well prove it, and I might throw you a bone.
Holland: Really?! You...you're really interested in trading with me for Cujo?!
Sather: Sure thing buddy. All you gotta do is play him...oh...say, 20 games this year?
Holland: You've got a deal!

After he's done talking with him, Sather kicks his feet up on his one hundred thousand dollar desk, folds his arms across his chest while a malicious grin spreads across his face all the while thinking how he now won't have the only 70 million dollar payroll that misses the playoffs.

Holland calls Cujo up, forces Lewis to play him and the wings only win 25% of the games he's in.
Holland calls up Sather, and asks him if he's happy with Cujo's performance. Sather's only response is laughter, then hangs up the phone. Holland sits there dumbfounded staring at his phone, waiting for Sather to call up again.

Detroit ends up out of the playoffs AND have no first rounder (Holland will trade it off, you know) and the fans storm down to the Joe, bust the doors down and lynch Holland in his office then parade his corpse down Jefferson all the way to Hart Plaza where he is hung from the fountain as a reminder that this is what will happen the next time Cujo gets in net for Detroit.
