What is your team?
My guess is
Posted 20/2/2007: Stefan Langwieder (D)
From Portland Winter Hawks (WHL) to Adler Mannheim
My favourite Team is EVL 2000 in the ASSTEL-Bundesliga!

I looked and can't seem to find any players transferring to EVL 2000 for next season. I don't speak German, so I may have missed it but nothing was mentioned on EVL 2000's website, nor could I found anything on the league's webpage either. You might want to ask here http://www.esbgforum.de/ in German and find out the player's name and then come back here.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the player you're thinking of was a CIS player this past season. Seems like many players from the CIS jump to the lower German leagues.
I Have our new guy:
Congratulations to Kyle Helms
Congratulations to Winter Hawks Captain Kyle Helms, who has just signed a professional contract with German 2 Bundesliga, Division 2 EV Landsberg.

I didn't realize that Jr. B in Ontario was such high calibre. Either that or 2nd Division Germany isn't that great. I wonder what kind of money he will be getting paid. I'd figure if he was graduating from Ontario Jr. B he'd be going to the CIS.
He have a German/American dual citizenship, his Mom is German, so he play as German in our Team. Don`t think we pay a lot of money.
First i think he take the chance to attract attention, maybe with his engagement he can sign in 1-2 years in a lower DEL Team. Good "German" Players are rare...
First time our Coach let him play in our 3. Line.

Maybe the German team confused Kyle Helm with Darren Helm. :sarcasm:
