Go Belarus :yo:

Aparently Katsitsyn (sp?) isn't playing.

Does anyone know if Vadim Karaga of the London Knights is playing?? I should know this, but I don't. He wasn't in the lineup against Erie last night (http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/stats/game-report.php?game_id=5701) and I'm not aware of any injuries, so Maybe he's in France?? :dunno:

I stand corrected! Both Katsitsyn and Karaga (spelt Karaha in his native language) are back for Belarus. Both have Hat-tricks so far as Belarus is taking Estonia to school, 7-1 so far!

Apparently somebody called Siarhei Kastsitsyn is also playing with Andrei - does anyone know if Siarhei is Andrei's brother, or what? Thanks!

Marius Holtet of Norway posted 4 goals an 1 assist, unreal performance as he continues to thrive in these tournaments..

Wow, nice to see Yutaro Imamura cracked Japan's lineup. I really didn't think he had the goods.

Belarus beat Italy 5-2 today. Italy was up 5-2 in the first period and had Belarus on a 5-3 for about 40 seconds, but Belarus stormed back with five unanswered goals for the win.

Norway also won today. Norway and Belarus face off tomorow in a game that will likely decide who moves up to the top level next year.

Thats not correct, and i know its directley form the website. But If you look at the box scores,Zhakarov had 6 pts through 2 games and now 9 through 3. So im just guessing it doesnt have everybody's stats up to date.

Belarus Schooled Norway 6-1 today. They play the currently winless Japanese tomorow and just have to win or tie to clinch promotion.

By beating Norway, Belarus already won the division, and they earned their promotion, the game against Japan doesn't matter.

That's right. Belarus has clinched.

Japan has also clinched the relegation spot. They can still finish tied for last place with Estonia, but Estonia has the tie-break by virtue of their win over Japan this morning.

The last day of this tournament means nothing as far as promotion and relegation is concerned.

NOTES for team France :
-Kevin Hecquefeuille (Amiens) was French Rookie of the Year in 2003.
-Nicolas Besch (Rouen) was a very good surprise, finishing 1st in defensemen scoring in this tournament. Good surprise also is D-man Benoit Quessandier (Rouen).
-French best rookie this season, Rouen's Pierre-Emmanuel Bellemare, finished scoreless but played well in the last games.

France beats Norway 2-1, good performance, but lost 7-2 against Belarus, and blew a 3-0 lead vs Italy (lost 5-3). Burnet (Amiens) also had very good statistics in goal (played 2 games, including Norway). He was named in the roster when Hecquet (Sierre, SWI) was injured.

French championship report :
-2003 Champion Rouen, finalist for the European cup, was eliminated after the first round after finishing 5th in the western pool. Only the first 4 teams were selected for the 2nd round. Rouen will play the Mont-Blanc tournament vs Team France, Finland-B (Mestis), Russia-B.

West Qualified : Amiens Gothiques, Brest Albatros, Anglet Orques, Tours Diables Noirs (only 14th payroll, HUGE surprise).
East qualified : Grenoble Bruleurs de Loups, Villard-de-Lans Ours du Vercors, Mulhouse Scorpions, Dijon Ducs.
