Oden or Durant

You have the first pick who do you take?

I said a month ago that I would take Durant.

I would still take Durant.

Oden. It's hard to know how much the broken wrist hurt him. I'd love to see him stay one more year as it would give me a better idea of his true value if he stayed and was injury free next year. But that's just me being selfish.

Oden.

Oden and it's not even close. Durant is amazing but Oden's size and athleticism is to good to pass on.

I'd have regrets no matter what I do.

It really depends on which team I'm running.

If I'm Philly, Seattle or Atlanta, I take Oden. Milwakee, Charlotte or Portland, I take Durant, Boston or Memphis, I cry like a little girl for being cursed with such horrid teams. Seriously though, the problems in Boston and Memphis are so deep that the selection would depend on who I can get for Gasol and Pierce.

Can't go wrong with either one. But I like Durant more.

It's essentially impossible to answer this question, it all depends on the makeup of the team drafting #1 overall. It would be damn tough to pass on a natural centre prospect like Oden but teams like Milwaukee and Portland could likely use a potential superstar wing more than another big man.

How often will this great of a center come around. Durant's position produces superstars more often. Oden if a beast on D and his Offense is coming around now that he's healed.

There hasn't been a player this good coming out of college since Tim Duncan.

Interesting note about that. No Small Forward has won MVP since Bird in '86, and, If I'm not mistaken Dr. J is the only other SF to win.

And for finals MVP you have:
John Havlicek (6th man)
Rick Barry
Larry Bird
James Worthy

So, while the Small Forward position has more high end starters at any given time, it actually has less superstars than the Center position.

Oden no contest.

Oden, but only because franchise centers are more important than franchise forwards

Kick me, but I've been FAR more impressed with Durant this season. I would take him, as good as Oden looks.

Durant. No contest. You can't teach Oden's size, but he's too rough around the edges. He needs another year at Ohio State...and a national championship.

Oden, although both definitely need to put on some muscle, their body frames are pretty wirey and they could get pushed around easily

Oden easily you don't pass on a big man like him.

It would totally depend on what my team was lacking. If we needed a big man then guess what! I'd take Oden! If we had a consistent big man then guess what! I'd take Durant! If it was both that I was lacking, or both that I alrrady had, then I would take Oden. Thats only because if your star center is not Oden and he gets hurt, then it just seems as if the big men in the NBA get injured more frequently, and go out longer.
