I was at the game yesterday (15 DEC), and noticed Daigle's jersey had his name spelled Diagle... Any particular reason for this? lol

I saw that on TV, too - I was surprised the announcers didn't catch it.

I'm glad someone else noticed! I was worried nobody would believe me.

Couple of possibilities I was thinking about (myself, I didn't notice this during the game):

1) He wants to further frustrate the Twin Cities media personnel who regularly mess up our guys' names on TV (on the rare occasion they actually give us any hockey coverage). Day-gull, Day-glee I've heard so far.. soon maybe Dye-ag-lee?

2) He's trying to hide from the media members who keep following him around and asking him if he's still a pretty-boy who's only in it for the money. "Daigle? You got the wrong guy, buddy. My name's Diagle."

:)

Remember a couple of years ago, they messed up Gretzky's name on his jersey...I think it was either in NY or St Louis. Had it spelled "Gretkzy" or something...

If they can mess up The Great One's, I'm sure they can mess up Daigle's :D

I had to do a triple take, myself... wish I had brought a camera to the game, hehe... I looked for a pic to produce evidence, but couldn't find one...
I, too, was worried noone would believe... At anyrate, I'm sure it was just one of those things that manage to happen, but figured I'd ask...

He did get that empty netter, so maybe he should leave it as is...
