I just wanted to stop by here and say that I got to see Mozyakin (sp?) play a game for the first time. He scored a wicked goal, with a great deke move in the slot. He's not that big, but seems like he's got good speed and some shifty moves. I haven't watched the 3rd period yet, but so far Mozyakin has the only goal for CSKA, but they are getting shelled 6-1.
I should be getting another game of CSKA later this month, so I'll post if he does anything.
Oh and Zherdev played as well, but so far he hasn't done much of anything yet, but most of the team is flat.

So there IS actually someone out there who hasn't heard about the Zherdev situation. Who knew?

Yes. It takes a very very long time to send a game from Moscow to North America. Then it has to be transfered from European tv to North American tv. they use a different system, that's 5 seconds a frame faster and can't be viewed with a regular vcr.

What? :dunno: I am well aware of the entire situation, as I have followed it closely since the Habs also have a player with CSKA.

Interesting - just goes to show you learn something new every day. Thanks for the Mozyakin update.

Sorry, just the way you wrote your post made it sound like you thought Zherdev was still playing for CSKA. My apologies.

hmm, its a shame that blue Jackets prospects are no longer allowed to leave Russia. I would love to have this guy here next year.

Well I watched the whole game, and Mozyakin scored another goal. He had both goals as his team got shelled 6-2. His first goal was sweet, and his 2nd goal, he was on the PK, the defensemen took a shot it was blocked and the puck went right to Mozyakin, where he took off on a breakaway. The defensemen caught up to him, but left his feet, and Mozyakin just held on, then moved by the defensemen laying on the ice, then took a wrist shot top shelf. Impressive goals in a game where the entire team did little to nothing outside of Mozyakin.
I also have a 2nd game of his, where he plays on the 3rd line for the Russian Senior National team in the Karajla cup. I'll post if he does anything in the game. I should have another CSKA game later this month as well. I never heard of Mozyakin till this year, but I'm impressed with his play.
