If he doesn't...I'll be throwing snowballs at his car and saying very, very mean things to him! I'd like to see the Sens get him back too. If they do, do they have to keep him with the big team or go through wqivers again before sending him down? littleD 12-18-2003, 07:04 PM What would be the point in claiming him off waivers? Other than a bit of toughness as a fighter, what does he bring to the table? The guy couldn't crack the lineup in Nashville, why is he good enough for Ottawa? Yes, if Ottawa claimed him, unless they want to carry him on the big team as a healthy scratch every night, he would have to clear waivers to be sent down to Bingo. Then when that happened, the Canucks would claim him again. Then they would send him down and someone else would claim him....and on, and on, and on. He'll be on 6 different teams in one year at this rate. So in other words, adds nothing to the team really. Just my opinion of course, but I believe it would be a pointless addition. V for Voodoo 12-18-2003, 10:53 PM Exactly, 8th d-man. Earlier this season we had to call up our #9 dman to play for us, Brookbank would see some icetime. What is the cost of grabbing him? Nothing rebedom 12-19-2003, 03:10 AM Leschychyn is injury prone, and you never know what will happen. Earlier this season we had to call up our #9 dman to play for us, Brookbank would see some icetime. What is the cost of grabbing him? Nothing I like the idea of picking up Brookbank to add some toughness to this team but what would be the point if Jacques doesn't play the guy. Then we have another tough guy in the organization that doesn't play, just like with Ray and Tetarenko last year. Ray was at least an NHLer with Buffalo. We have two pretty tough guys in Bingo with Bonvie and McGratton which Jacques has at his disposal and never uses. Unfortunately for Brookbank if Ottawa picks him up off waivers it is doubtful he will play. I would rather see Brookbank in the line up then either Hnidy or Leshyshyn but you have to think that once Jacques gets a hold of him, Brookbank will be looking to the bench to see if he can fight, just like André Roy. The coach needs to be put on waivers. | ||
