He has 6 points i think i was just wondering if he is going to stay with the big club this year and what is his potential ? your thoughts on him?

I don't know if he'll stay once Phillipe Boucher gets healthy again. He could be sent down. Will hafta wait and see.

He has a lot of potential to be a good scoring defenseman. Play lots on the PP and get his fair share of assists. I don't know if he really is all that physical. But, will hafta wait and see.

If I was sure he'd stick, I wouldn't have him listed as a prospect still. Though he is playing really well and is playing to a level that shows he belongs, he probably will be gone when Boucher returns just because he can pass through waivers without any risk. The club won't carry 8 D, and because of Daley's stiuation he is the easiest to stash away for the moment.

As to his talent, it's all about how he develops. Right now, he needs work on his positioning defensively and probably conditioning as well. Sometimes, despite his outstanding speed, he just doesn't seem to have the legs to take advantage of it.

At worst, you've got a PP specialist that can play a regular shift without too much danger. At best, you could end up with a player near the caliber of Brain Rafalski, I believe. Daley has a lot of talent and, more importantly, confidence in his game, so I can see him becoming a lower end defensive star under ideal conditions, but it's really difficult to say thusfar. He has handled his time in the NHL very well though.
