Okay, Sweden's opening game will start in less than two hours when they'll play the Czech Republic.
Although my hopes are not high it will be interesting to see what the young players can do.

Too bad I'm stuck in Göteborg and can't watch the game. But I guess won't be much of a game to watch... :dunno:

7 minutes into the third period now and the score is 2-2. Some of the debutants have been looking pretty good; Johan Franzén, Tim Eriksson (although he did one blunder) and Niklas Persson.
Liv is having a strong game.

well, Sweden won the game 3-2 after overtime and shootouts.
Niklas Nordgren the game-winning penalty shot.

I like this team better than the one from Karjala, mostly because this team looks like it wants to win. I expected better play from the Tolsa-Lundqvist-Kahnberg line, they are the most experienced on this team and should lead the way.
