I can't find anything on this guy anywhere. I read he was a checker, is he similiar to Hannula or is Hannula better?

Riddarn who follows Djurgården closely can fill me in.

But, from what I have seen this season he has been doing alright. He doesn't get a whole lot of ice-time playing mostly on the 4th-line.
He is a very hardworking player that checks well but is not a big threat offensively.

Comparing him to Hannula is kind of tricky since Eckerblom is still so young and has not showed any offensive flair in the SEL, yet. Hannula was a pretty decent scorer in the SEL and could put the puck in the net.

I really have no clue how Eckerblom could develop, he is quite hard to read imho. :dunno:

Plus, I am definitly NO scout, just a regular hockey fan. Heart and determination can get you far though. He doesn't have the moves that the real "talents" have, but who knows, he might develop that game too.

By the way, anyone, isn't Eckerblom a center from the beginning? :dunno:

Thanks for the info. There is like NO INFORMATION on the guy. ARGH! Career SEL player or do you think he could fit in with the Wild?

So he made the team?

:p At least you got something :)
They don't show the WJC here either.

and yes, he made the team. There aren't many role players on this team so I guess Eckerblom could get quite some ice-time.

That's good to hear :D I'm really happy to know that FOUR Minnesota drafted players are playing in the WJC :D
