I've been extremely negative lately with this team. (Who wouldn't be the way they've played). That said, I do think they'll win this one tonight -- not facts or observations to back this up, just a gut feeling.

I don't believe the starter has been named yet, but I'd imagine both Denis and Freddy are pissed and primed for a good game.

The paper says DM is going jiggle the lines again. Part of me doesn't like this, but the current lines aren't producing either, so why not try something different.

I think the offense will get three goals -- it may have to be a Nash hattrick, but they'll get three goals.

I'll go CBJ-3, PHX-2.

They'll ride this win through Chicago and their first road win, but then will start a new losing streak Saturday against the woeful Stars.

They've been talking the good talk in the press, but that's happened in the past before and nothing has happened. Freddy will start and keep us in the game till the third when the Yotes hang a 4 spot on us. 5-1 Yotes.

I'm not sure what to make of this one. I'd like to think that the Jackets will play well tonight to prove something to not only themselves, but also to the home crowd. On the other hand, they haven't shown any hint lately of being able to do that. I guess we'll find out tonight if this is a team that at least has some pride, or if they are really nothing but a bunch of quitters.

My guess is a 2-2 tie. We will score a PP goal and those in attendance will give a Bronx cheer like you've never heard at Nationwide.

The CBJ are primed for a little hot streak...before they go on the road for 7 games and lose all 7.

CBJ wins tonight 2-1
First road win...Friday against CHI
They take 2 out of three home against DAL, STL and SJ (you pick the wins)

then...it all ends with and 0-5-0-2 road trip

The only game I've been to this year was Zherdev's debut, the last CBJ win, I'm going again tonight and I'm fully expecting an effort we haven't seen in a while. CBJ 4-2 adding an empty netter late. I've got to stay undefeated.

Maybe we should stop making gameday threads?

Maybe we should stop making gameday threads?
Maybe we should stop playing NHL games...

I think we could win a few down in the AHL.... :dunno: Maybe not...

Saw it live. Why can't we score goals? Something should trickle across, or bounce off of a linesman. Nash is the only player on this team that can score.

Problem: How many actual proven goal scorers do we have? 2, One skates in circles.

Problem: Injuries to the d-man make the forwards go deeper into the zone and causes a slow transition. Players like Letowski, Marchant, Wright, Malhotra(Players with some scoring touch, emphasize some) are forced to help out our d.

Problem: PP. The reason we are so far behind last season is our special teams are not nearly as good. How many short handed goals did we have last year, 12? Not that we should expect shorties but they definitely help. PP, if they shot they might score.

The fact is that we are good on paper, but I think realistically we have these 3 problems that really any team could have. Our confidence is shattered. We will get a top 4 pick another awesome player and this year will hopefully be long forgotten 10 from now.

I think my preseason pick to be 13th in the West was optimistic, eh?

We knew coming into this season that scoring goals would be hard. But not this hard.
