I admire your confidence. However, although Sweden is not expected to contend, I don't think Austria has the firepower (even with Vanek) to play on even par with anybody but Ukraine.

For this particular game, my opinions are the same as the SUI vs. UKR game. Austria just got killed yesterday, and are playing a team who hasn't yet stepped on the ice. The Austrians are going to be in a bad mood, and they could make it a reasonably close game....but in the end, a Swedish victory should be the end result.

thjat would have been the greates suprise in austrian history. the austrian tv not even shows every game of the BIG GUYS, i was sure that we won´t see pictures of our u20 team.

I just read a report with the Swedish staff over there and here are some comments on some of the Swedish players.

Johan Fransson (started out on the bench actually, but when he came in he played well and scored two goals)

Alexander Steen (was good, scored a goal and actually hit the post 3(!) times in this game)

Joakim Lundström (good in net, not having an easy game since he did not face that many shots)

Johannes Salmonsson (was very, very good, showed that he is a brilliant hockey player)

this all according to Sweden's team manager Peter Forsberg.

btw, Andreas Valdix was rested after an injury three days ago. Bendelin thought that he would be able to play tomorrow - so just a precaution. Blomdahl left midway through the third period, don't know more about that one.

I saw that Danielsson scored a goal, and assisted on another, did he play as well as it may seem?
