Now that the 2007 season is just about in swing...hahaha, with all the camps starting up. What does the NAHL teams look like for goaltending this year??

doesn't look like Texas has any returning goalies.

Topeka (formerly Santa Fe) will have Bryce Merriam back but not Nick Hopper because he has agreed to play hockey for the University of Nebraska – Omaha. Congrats to Nick!:handclap:

he backed up hopper all year though and never really played that well from what i heard and stats wise. Are they going to have him as their number 1? or is Langer and his staff going to make a move??

Nick Hopper is going to play another year of junior hockey, but this time for the Lincoln Stars (USHL). He was drafted by the Stars this past Spring. Looks like he's going to be our starting goaltender too, which is a pretty big feat. Going into the tryout camp the odds on favorite for starting goaltender was our backup from last season, Bryce Christensen. But Hopper had a terrific tryout (made the all-star team), and Bryce was let go. Everything I've heard about Hopper has been positive. The coaches love him, so it looks like he'll be starting for the Stars next season.

canuck_60...what team are you going to be playing for in the NAHL?

I honestly don't know, for sure. They're just holding the first camp this weekend so I guess we'll see where everyone is when the dust settles after the last camp.

True. According to this press release (http://www.santaferoadrunners.com/pressbox/051907.php) he's D1 as of 2008-09, so he'll be in Lincoln this season. Cool.
