Anyone knows when/why they stopped playing "when the saints go marching in" after Blues' goals?

because they lost the CD

Maybe it wasn't 'Blues' enough. Which, by the way, is the reason I believe the Blues are cursed to never win the Stanley Cup. What a depressing name...

Simply an observation, but Dats-13, as a Red Wings fan, you sure do spend a lot of time here. And before you fire back with "I have only posted so and so times," don't. Everytime it seems I come on here you're in this forum.

It's ok, come to the good side :)

Not *****ing, just find it kinda funny.

Seeing as this IMO is definently one of the greatest rivalrys in all of sports i like to see what the bad guys are saying about there players and about anything else that interests me....always good to see it from both ends...and believe me if me meet in the playoffs and we win i'll be in here :)

if we don't then i might have to do something drastic

I'll never come to the "good side"...you can bet on that

I hope that's not supposed to be a shocker. That's quite typical...

hmmm....lets see...If the blues beat the wings you wouldn't be bragging about it....because if the blues beat the wings they would either be in the SCF or the semis....but oh no you would just giggle in front of your computer screen...give me a break...i hate this "i can do no wrong" attitude by some of the posters in this site....its all in good fun and it keeps the rivalry going, i wouldn't have it any other way

No, I wouldn't show up to the Wings board and brag about it.

dats-13
01-05-2004, 06:45 AM
well then thats just the type of person you are....(although it's easy enough for you to say that now)...

plus i know there would be a crapload of smack being thrown down on these boards and on other sites....but it's ok because of the rivalry

(the onlt positive thing of the wings being beat by the blues is so i can get on these boards the next day and see just how right i really am)

Even when the blues beat the wings in the regular season i see random blues posters on other blues and redwings sites bragging

The key here is other sites. No offense but I come here do discuss hockey and so do many others, not to talk smack. If you are looking to run the ole' mouth, take it to another board.

Thanks

There's a difference between good natured smack talk and bragging about knocking a team out of the playoffs.

Bragging about knocking a team out of the playoffs is childish and if I see a Blues fan doing it if this scenario happens to come true I'll be the first to tell him or her to shut their mouth.

I see what the redwings fans are saying occasionally. And if i post anything, its more than likely nto inflammatory.

Thats just classless and would be arrogant. Nothing like kicking a man while he is down. I wouldnt do that to any teams fans.

I think he was joking about the last part, hence the smiley face. Then again maybe he wasn't. But either way, let's all take a chill pill.

No, he wasn't joking.

He will without a doubt be here trolling if the Wings happen to knock the Blues out of the playoffs.

All I have to say about that is that I hope our mods do their jobs considering I was banned for 7 days for saying "GO DALLAS DRAKE!" on the Bruins board.

Message to dats-13....let's get things straight.

You want to talk hockey? Fine. Come on in, talk away. Anyone who wants to talk in a civilized manner is more than welcome here.

You want to talk smack? Be prepared to get warned first, then banned for increasingly longer periods until it ends up as a permanent ban.

Questions? Try reading the rules (listed here) (http://www.hfboards.com/faq.php?). There is no acceptable smack talk, win or lose, regardless of who it's coming from.

I'm not going to beg you to stay, or ask you to change. I'm just telling you how things are, and how things are going to be. It's up to you to decide whether you want to follow along or get the three-five when you cross the line.

You know, I'm a Red Wings fan, and all I want to know now is "when/why they stopped playing "when the saints go marching in" after Blues' goals"?

It wasn't my question originally, but I'm really curious. It was always a fun facet of the EA game that they played the song in St. Louis too.

I didn't say you were. I'm telling you don't do it. There's no acceptable reason to talk smack, and if you do it here you'll find yourself on the outside looking in.

EOD.
