Is the Bergenheim/Jokerit talk final?

We (the Islanders) could really use Sean back, thanks to injuries to Yashin and Parrish that will keep them out a couple of months each. Bergenheim would get plenty of work if he came back, so I'm hoping the talk of him returning to Finland full time was premature.

Well, that's really up to Isles if they want him back, he goes back. They have the final word on this.

Can anyone tell me what his stats have been since Christmas? Is he playing well? :dunno:

He is not playing that well. He started at first line with Metropolit and Jantunen, but he was quickly replaced by Valtonen. Now he is playing in the second line with Pakaslahti and Vertala(?).

On the third with Filppula and Mäki, actually. Vertala is still in shards (and so is Mäki now, Koivisto was on the other wing against Blues).

Not to mention that he was benched (for "not playing for the team", according to the coach Jortikka) for the second half of the game against the Blues.

Mäki is returning to the lineup today against the local rivals HIFK and the third line will be Mäki-Filppula-Bergenheim, according to the SM-liiga website.

HIFK was crushed 5-1 in a Helsinki derby by NHL prospects yesterday. Bergenheim 1+1, Valtteri Filppula 2+0, Tomi Mäki 0+2, Teemu Laine 0+2, Tomek Valtonen 1+0.
