One thing that should be added and I would like your comments on: I thought Team Canada's overall structure was excellent this year and with the exception of an Ian White type for the power play, I wouldn't change a thing for next year. I think 03/04 was a huge improvement over 02/03 and previous years. We were not only solid, but better and better each game. We all now what happened today, so please don't let a bad goal cloud your opinions.

I agree completely - the team that was selected was the best group of players. Had they continued to play their game through the third period, we'd be celebrating the gold medal. Unfortunately, they stopped banging and crashing early in the 3rd and let the USA play their game.

I wouldn't change anything either - next year's team should look very much like this one, with the addition of a goaltender, a physical presence to replace Paille, and a powerplay specialist on defense. Canada was able to roll four lines who could score, forecheck, and shut down the opposing team.

Fehr should be a welcome addition (should have been this year)

Jeremy Colliton might have made a difference.

I like Colliton as a player in the WHL. He has a future in pro as a role player - but...Canada needed more finishers in the crunch (ie. USA game). Jeremy was never a threat in this game and there is no one that can say Brodziak or Fehr would not/could not have adapted to the role player role.

That's my story...and I'm stickin' to it. :D

not sure i agree, Canada put up an awful lot of goals, don't think they needed more finishers. I would have got rid of Dixon for Fehr though...Dixon had a tough tournament in a limited role
