I know a lot of Thrashers fans were fond of this kid's heart, and so I thought I'd pass along a bit of news.
He was called up about a week and a half ago, and I think might slowly be earning a spot on the team. He has played nothing but great since he got here. No goals yet(though some VERY close calls, especially versus New Jersey) and last night earned a promotion from the fourth line to center Erat and Orszagh. It looks like he could eventually turn into a pretty great young player, so I'm happy to see that. As for Safronov, my friends in Milwaukee have said he started out a bit slow, but is now "looking better every game," including making what was said to be "the hit of the century" against the Griffins the other night. I'll echo what Triggerman said in another thread about Kloucek...I wish he could stay healthy, because he was an exciting defenseman when he was...but it looks like his career could end up being short if he keeps getting hurt so often.
