All I know is this team did not play like this under Cassidy. After the 3rd goal from Iggy...it would have been over. Hell the 2nd goal could have dont it. The Halperns and Whitfields are busting their *****....its great to see.

agreed...too bad that doig and kiwi just can't be any better. just watching them try and pass the puck d to d is an adventure. i know they try, but when you see them on the ice against top players like iginla they are completely outclassed.

Trivia point...does anyone realize that Jagr's goal was only his second goal in the 3rd period all season long??? If Jagr is so convinced that he can wear down the opposition with lots of ice time, why are his 3rd period goals so rare?

No kidding. The Flames were putting a tonne of shots at Olie and couldn't get a thing past him. Then the Caps score with under six minutes left and my heart just sank. Lombardi and Saprykin score within thirty seconds of each other, and the Caps score twice with their net empty to force the tie.

I was listening to the internet radio feed from nhl.com and couldn't keep up. Not sure whether to feel relieved at getting one point or disappointed at missing out on two points.

I'd be a much bigger and more knowledgeable Caps fan if I could watch em more...NHL on the fly is ok, as is NHL radio...but man, I wanna see :p

what a 3rd period!!!! i think a lot of fans missed OT...lol.
