Gameday: Penguins @ Wild - 2004-01-16

Reports say we'll see Fleury in net for the Penguins. I'm guessing Manny for the Wild, but I suppose it could go to Roli.

Walz is out, and for a while. He's not going to make the little road trip to St. Louis and Nashville, according to the Star-Tribune.

Housley's officially retired, and hints that he'd like to get into coaching, possibly starting with a metro-area high school. Ok, that's not gameday talk, but I didn't really have much else to add.

This is going to be a game between two teams dealing with adversity. I say anything can happen, and that means the Wild will win by a score of 4-2 (I may just go with that score until it comes true from now on..). Schultz will score a goal or get two assists, because he's turning it on. Zyuzin will get a point. Gaborik will score. That's all I've got...

i am going to say this is gaboriks break out game with fluery in net he will be shaky and gabby will get 2 goals and 2 assists and the final will be 5-1 wild and roli willl have another outstanding game. Does anyone else agree with me the roli is the better goalie this year by far, and i think we should try out harding for a few games u never know what could happen could light a fire under the teams butts.

Considering the way the season has gone, I'm starting to think it would've been nice to see Phil on the team this year. It would've been his last year, I think we can assume. I wonder how much he wanted?

A post on the wild.com message boards from someone who's been accurate in the past claims that Roloson is getting the start tonight and... Zyuzin is out (:(), meaning Michalek will dress (:)).
No word yet on why Zyuzin is out. Hopefully it's very, very minor.

Zyuzin's got a slight groin strain, according to Greenlay's preview at Wildinsider.com. Greenlay also indicates that Michalek will play tonight.

Nice Choice on the predicition. Boy, that was ugly there for a while. Luckily they woke up and started scoring. Hopefully this is a start of something.

Yeah, hard to believe I got that one considering the way the game was going.
I thought Michalek looked ok out there. Made some goofs, but also made some nice passes.
I felt a little sorry for Fleury. He got hung out to dry there at the end.
Let's hope our guys can do something, anything, with this win. The next few games are not going to be fun if they don't.
