Hi Cologne... :D
Last year I visited your beautiful city for a school exchange and attended a regular season game of the "Haie" against the Mannheim Eagels. The arena (Koelnarena :dunno: ) reaches almost NHL standards.Enthusiasm is guaranteed among the cologne's hockey fans, seems like hockey's popularity is finally growing in Germany. ( Better late than never :joker: )

Can you give me an update about the "Koelner Haie" and the german hockey league, any onformation would be appreciated...

Have a nice Sunday :joker: and nice greetings for Ottawa..

.Eduard Lewandowski, a 2003-draft-pick )

Lewandowski was drafted by the Yotes in round 8 #242 overall.

But let's talk about Stefan Schauer. :D
How does he look like???
The Sens think very highly of him...was described as a top-tour defender on your blueline with Redden, Chara, Volchenko, Phillips and Pothier for the years to come.
Got any pics of him....

Thanks!!!
See you later...

PS: I like Berlin, too. :handclap:

I believe it was not the best decision of him to go to Cologne, his development has really stagnated and at the moment I can not see him making the NHL at present.
A few other defenders have overtaken him even in Germany in the defensman ranking.

Isn't that the guy, who caused a controversy in last years DEL playoffs? I think it was in the first or second round.

He always does ;)

Chvatal is the only pro-referee in the DEL, but it doesn't always look like it.

He was absolutely awful in Game 4 of the Berlin-Hamburg series. Hamburg lost the game and the series in five games. Max Fedra was pretty upset about him.
The Freezers would have lost anyway, but it wasn't what you would expect from a DEL-referee.

There was another incident some weeks later...

Who´s not upset about him ;)

btw: Wasn´t Chvatal the referee who said as long as he´s the referee in a Mannheim game, they won´t win the game or am i a little bit confused ?

Doesnt look like Hospelt and Schauer are improving as expected. What should they do? Are they too old to play junior hockey? Should they move to the ECHL?

....to hard to decide this already.Maybe they should come over to North America next year and play minor league hockey in Cleveland and Binghamton, not unlike Schubert does.

Yannic Seidenberg to Cologne...I'm starting to lose every inch of respect I have for him. Like Kevin Costner said "He's got a million dollar arm with a 5 cent head "

Hospelt is still VERY young. He has just turned 18 I think. He has the tools and I think he will succeed. The problem is that Zach always TALKS about giving responsibilities to young germans but doesn't do it like, for example, Greg Poss does. Hospelt needs to earn scoring line-ice time. He is a scorer, not a checker. It is the same problem some other guys have. For example Adrian Grygiel in Krefeld or also Kink in Cologne. Going to the NA-Junior leagues might be a good move for those guys.

Sure the potential is there but think about the sharks depth at center, his chances are very low....
