Question about the ATD

I lurk around here sometimes, just reading the drafts and stuff, but I have never known a certain thing. How do you guys decide the outcomes of the games? I see <Team Name> (1) vs <Team Name> (8)

How are those numbers decided? Do you use some kind of simulator, or just vote, or what?

It's just bugging me that I don't know how it works, I'm a curious fellow. Thanks for any answers. :)

It's a voting process, the GMs (and past GMs) vote on the series and say the number of games and the 3 stars for the series.

...And the numbers are about where GM's finished in the "Regular Season" we had before the playoffs.
