That wasn't the only good result. One-goal losses against West and Atlantic and a 5-1 win against Slovakia to end the tournament.

Marc Kohl finished with 3 goals and 3 assists, leading the team in scoring, as a defenseman no less, while Tom Kühnhackl had 4 goals and 1 assist.

Is the Kuhnhackl on the German U-17 any relation to Erich?
