So when the Canucks inevitably introduce a third jersey...

...will it be green? I wholeheartedly encourage it, especially as compensation for the fact that the team inexplicably left green out of the logo, such that most non-jersey team merchandise is indistinguishable from Leafs' wares and doesn't display the team colors.

But of course fans get uncannily upset at any deviation from the red/blue/black iron rule of hockey shirt design, and will undoubtedly groan about how much they want to "puke" upon seeing it (or compare it to green vegetables, mold, etc. etc.) and how unbelievaly "ugly" it is, as though the color were inherently offensive.

Actually, come to think of it, I don't believe teams generally change their helmet color for third jerseys, so an all-green jersey with blue helmet probably wouldn't happen. So perhaps they go entirely the other way and make it more Dallas Cowboy-y?

Any guesses what it'll eventually look like? We all know it's coming.

I would have agreed with you had this been last year
but now that the home colours have... well... colour, I like them being the home jerseys.

And I'm well aware of the White Out days of the Jets
and the fact that our playoff towels are white (which doesn't have anything to do with our jerseys)

but I just like it now that we finally have some vibrant colours.
It would be amazing to see that shade of blue and green on everybody in the stands.

I hope that rather than just introducing the third jersey, the Canucks wait a few years and give us the vintage logo and vintage colours on the new RBK jerseys.

I don't think there is really a feasible third jersey, but maybe by the time we get our vintage logo back it will have been long enough to justyfi introduce the skate logo as our "alternative" jersey.

Somehow i see the 94 jerseys making a comback in order to cash in on nostalgia. Maybe i'm wrong, but it's the only vintage jersey worth bringing back, since we butchered the stick and rink and made it our main one.

I hope to god it doesn't happen, but I can reall truely see the team making the 3rd jersey something like this:

Season ticket holders should not have to see the same sweaters every game and they do with the current system, 'Nucks in blue and the visitor in white...it's dumb.

With the new jersey's very retroish I think any third will be ultra modern (weird rbk striping to death)

What I'd like to see would be the return of the midnight navy with bright green stripes. Add some white and silver accents and the original stick in a rink logo and I think we have a winner. This colour scheme was what I was actually hoping for before the new ones were intoduced the difference now is that the original logo is very minimalistic/modernesque that would go well with a modern look.

Actually the Mariners used to sell hockey jerseys in the late 90's. I still have one.

They should go all-out and just wear the green Whaler jersey as a third jersey. Don't even change the logo. Dave Nonis could come out and smugly imply that the Canucks used the colours long before the Whalers and that the tail represents an Orco tail, a deep part of west coast heritage.

Has anyone else ever wondered why the only two teams that voted to keep Hartford from moving to the NHL were the NYR and the Canucks? Rangers didn't want their fanbase encroached upon but I suspect that the Canucks objected to the Whalers use of colours.

Using the Whalers' green jersey as a third jersey would be sweet revenge.

My friend's son got a bunch of those little white plastic hockey sticks, splashed with team colors - the Canucks one has the new Orca logo and this (^) logo on it!

I agree with you, although the end result would be exactly the same as the post-1992 blue Whalers' jerseys, like what the Seattle Thunderbirds now wear. However, I rather liked those.

I didn't mind the buffaslug to start. I really like the sharp colours, in fact.

A little bit, yeah. Right now, the sight of the slug makes me a bit ill because of the state of the team. But I'm starting to look around at other logos and jerseys, like yours and Boston's, and seeing that there's so much wasted potential with Buffalo's sweaters.

Our original logo is a classic that epitomizes the phrase "you don't know what you have until it's gone" :D

And I like the look of the skate jersey, but that's more for nostaglic reasons.
When I used to play NHL games on PS2, I would choose the yellow flying V jersey, just to see how Naslund, the Sedins, Luongo, etc. would look in them.

i have a feeling third jersey will be upsetting.
