Too bad it's not being carried on Sportsnet - this could be the game of the year! Predictions anyone?

Guelph is coming into the game red hot on an 8-game win streak, (9-1 in their last 10 games); London is on a 3-game win streak (7-2-1 in their last 10). London leads the division by 3 going into that game.

I have a hunch that Guelph is going to take this one - I'll say 4-3.

I think London will take it at home. My pick to win the O is still Guelph though.

HHAHAHA TRUE DAT......and even when he is out with Logan he is playing thw wing(figure that one out) while Loggy plays Center.....Gerlad Coleman had a great game tonight, Dale better keep going with him cause the only way the Knights are going to win anything is if COleman gets his confidence back and plays like he can, Cause RYAN MCDONALD SUCKS!!!

But Khomotuv is still recovering i believe....he has not looked as strong on the puck as he was before the injury, but i am sure that only getting 5 or 6 shifts a game is not helping him any, i am sure that New Jersey is just hating him not seeing him get any icetime

As the above poster mentioned I think he is still having some complications with his wrist (Not enough strength?) and that is why he was held out of the lineup for the Guelph game. (Not a healthy scratch)

Khomutov should be playing more, but he has been somewhat of a disapointment. His skating isn't that great and London is always adiment about having a solid third line checking unit, so he can't play on the third line. Because Dale's nephew gets alot of minutes he doen't deserve, (Logan is useless, even worse than useless, he hurts this team every game) this often leaves Khomutov the odd man out when factoring in the top two lines. I think it has hurt him that Karaga was traded away aswell.(he spoke Russian)

Khomutov was back in the lineup tonight and largely ineffective, he doesn't look to be in game shape and his biggest strenth is his dangerous wrist shot, but it is toothless because of the injury, a few times he tried to unload it, but the puck just fluttered to the goalie. Maybe he has come back too soon :dunno: .

His skating was well before the injury maybe he just didn't do too much skating while he was injured, as long as he is ready for the playoffs I don't really care. He would have been a #2 or #1 on many of the teams in the OHL except the center deep London Knights.

Dale Hunter pisses me off. All night long his boys are getting top line PP duty, while Bolland, Sheppard and Schremp ride the bench. Then he throws out his two cement heads (Dylan and Logan) on the powerplay at the end of the game. Of course, Logan takes a stupid, stupid penalty in front of his own goal, and the Knights lose the PP. Next, we pull the goalie, and who does Dale send out? The one and only Brandon Prust, in favour of Dave Bolland, Rob Schremp, and Scott Sheppard watching from the bench. Un-freakin-believable. And I didn't even mention his love of Rick Steadman, an absolutely brutal hockey player. Yes, I'm still pissed about this game, and the Knights will never win with the Hunter brothers at the head. :rant:

He took a pretty much crap team and lame duck franchise (from a management standpoint) and turned it into a powerhouse that has a contending team this year and figures to contend again next year.
The Knights drafting has been second to none since the Hunter's took over and in their first few years Dale managed to coach an under-talented and young team/s to a couple big first round upsets in the playoffs, by outcoaching his counterpart.
As for Cherry he was Terrible in every aspect with the Dogs, from manageing to his attemp at coaching... Since Cherry has left, finally that organization got on their feet and now they are conteders.

You can allways geta contender with great drafting but it takes a real good coach to win, I don't think the Hunter is all that good of a a coach. I could and did see him favor his son and Ontario boys. I don't really care because they won't make it through Cape Breton come Memorial cup time.
