What's the deal with Robbie Schremp?

Alright, I went away to university this year so I haven't been able to keep up with the OHL at all. It's hard enough to keep up with what's going on with the Leafs.

My favourite team is the Ice Dogs and last year, my favourite player was Schremp.
I knew he got traded, but why was he traded? Was what the Ice Dogs got in return fair? Also, last year I was under the impression he was in the top 5 for this years NHL draft. Where's he stand now? Also why was he not on Team USA for the WJC and not on the Western Con. All Star team?

The reason he is no longer with the ice dogs is he asked for a trade why was he not part of team usa who knows.Put it this way team usa does not hold a open camp like canada they pick there players based on the season they are having.Robby did say he does not want to be part of team usa if he gets asked.

They got all-star defenseman Kyle Quincey, Chris Bain (maybe a couple of other players I'm forgeting?) + picks.

Some people have him slipping out of the top 10 because of a percieved attitude problem but I doubt he will drop that low. He has too much talent. Being a top 5 pick is very much in doubt, the CSB currently rates him 7th in North America. Behind fellow OHLer's Wojtek Wolski and teammate David Bolland.

Also why was he not on the Western Con. All Star team?
The Western Conference is so deep and there were already 4 or 5 more deserving Knights on the team. The London Knights vs. the Eastern Conference might have made for a better game though. :p

Yes but he said that after he was snubbed by the team this year.

If you believe his part of the story, the reason he asked to be traded was because the Ice Dogs have a rule saying that players must be in High School, or allready finished High School. Schremp didn't want to go to school, and would rather concentrate on High School. He left the team and demanded a trade.

When it didn't look like he was going to get traded, he joined the USNTDP (or something like that). But then he got traded to London (in a fair trade, IMO) and left the USNTDP. (Which is the main reason he wasn't selected for the Worl Junior Team)

I dunno why he wasn't selected for the All-Star game, but apparently he lit it up at the CHL Prospects game.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to say "OMG, Why wasn't Schremp there!!!????!" I was more trying to say "I don't know if he deserved to go or not."
