Bergfors has made two great games for the Swedish U18 team with 2 goals and 1 assist in 2 games he's leeding the team in points, and his younger than almost everyone else.
This kid is something speciell. How early do you people think he'll go in the NHL entry draft.

Good Evening

Well. Don´t know much about what he is up against in 2005 except Crosby :) But i´d say he is better than what Salmonsson was one year ago, so i think he is definately a potential first rounder.

Late 1st or 2nd round.

No SSK player have ever been drafted that high. A milstone I would say.

Top 10 :)

Nah, seriously.. it not right claiming such things this early. We don't know anything about how deep next year's draft is and a lot can still happen.
But his combination of SIZE and SKILL will make him very attractive for the teams.

What about his size? He is rather small. At least the player using his shirt during last weekend's games was.

To clarify, I don't know what he looks like but the player identified from the roster was shorter than Wandell. Can anyone from Södertälje confirm this?

Im not from Södertälje but ive seen the kid play. I disagree.

SMALL??? Although he is 189cm, he doesn´t look too big. But thats due
to his body´s position(he kind of leans forward a lot) when skating...

He is definately much bigger and stronger than Wandell. He has a really great reach.
No size problems what so ever!

You could be right but I saw him when he had left the ice and was walking towards the dressingroom and I don't think he is 1.89. The one thing I noted about this player is that he wasn't as big as I thought he would be. He was not even close to some of the defenders size.

hehe its a funny thing with size and all.
I thought for example Oscar Hedman who is 183, 95 kg, looked just as big or almost bigger than what Richard Demén-Willaume was, 190, 90 kg.

Fred Wikner is 187, 84kg but when i saw him next to Mattias Hellström, i thought Hellström was bigger, 184, 84kg.

Henrick Broman looks also smaller than Richard Demén-Willaume, although they are same size.

I'm sure that Nicklas is NOT 189 cm, theese values has been wrong all season. Last season he heighted 175cm and I would guess that he's somewhere around 180-183 cm. And around 85 kg in weight.

His brother Henrik is really tall and weights over 100 kg. So Niklas has good genes :)

I've been following Niklas his entire career, and i've never seen a more determed player in Södertäljes history. Has been training alot with Södertäljes first team and should had debuted if Södertälje not where in sutch a difficult situation. But next year he'll for sure be in one of four lines. My guess is that he will be drafted in the top-15.

Ah i c. But i still thought he looked pretty big for his age.
But yes didn´t look 189, thats for sure. But i don´t think he is too small. Thought he still had a nice reach, and he looked really fit.

Don't know if this have been mentioned:

Bergfors is ranked 2nd in ISS's 2005 NHL Draft ranking in their draft guide. Crosby is of course in first.

that's nice to hear! :)
I've only heard about a top 10 from red line (or was it the THN) I believe, in which 3 finns made the top 10 for next year but no Bergfors.

First Finn in this one is at #13, so I guess Crosby is the only sure one right now. :)

They must be really high on Bergfors. I thought that Gilbert Brule of the WHL was the consensus second overall pick amoung scouts, or at least that was the impression I had got.

Second overall sounds a bit high today but isn't there an U-18 tournament with Canadians during the pre-season? If so we'll get an opportunity to compare Bergfors with other prospects.

I think he will be drafted in the first round but that's as far as I dare predict.

There is this World Cup for 18-year olds, i.e. for 87-borns this coming august, with the big seven and Switzerland. Not sure if Bergfors will be there though, Bendelin may want him at the WJC-camp in Lake Placid.

I agree what You say regards to size, but there is two other players i like in the leage and it´s Kim Sunna from Brynäs and Christopher Sunebäck from Leksand, both of them are 87 and extreamly god skater/body user and has been playing in J20 super elite. Don´t look at size from EP, I know they are bigger and stronger after this summer

There is more to come about this players
