I would say its impossible to guess, but if I HAD to, I would say no. Winning more than 2 tourneys in a row is difficult, never mind 3 MORE in a row after 4 straight, hard to to. Especially with tons of players making the NHL long before their eligibility in the WJC runs out.

It's possible with the next couple WJC scheduled exclusively in North America. However, I think Canada will have a much tougher go of it as the relative talent level coming out of Europe seems to be miles ahead of where its been the last few years.

well, then you should start counting off those exhibitional olympic tournaments canada won in the august sun

Nay Sweden will break it this year for them :naughty:

If all the eligible players make team Canada in all years, Canada can win.

But with guys like Stamkos playing for Tampa next year, Canada loses a lot of talent.

I'm curious how our D will look this WJC.

I'd have to go with 5 in row post 1982. A much more competitive environment. However, the most impressive is yet to come... :nod:

Indeed, Canada 5 in a row, Russia 4 in a row.

Also, Canada is far ahead in best on best at the senior level.

Gotta love those Canadian players. :D
