I heard through the grapevine that he will be representing Denmark at the upcoming World Hockey Championships. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

There is a fair chance that he will, but nothing is official yet. He will, however, not be the starting goalie of course.

Yeah Hirsch is the established goalie for Denmark. Patrick Gailbrait is our second goalie. He is danish, but his father was a canadien goalie in the 1970 ties in Denmark.

Dahm and another danish goalie are fighting about the 3 goalie position.

I dont think Dahm will see any action if he gets the spot. Only with the team to learn, since he have only played junior hockey.

Thanks for the help guys!

Would love to see him get some action but from the sounds of it that may not happen!

Hirsh is garbage goalie, sorry but that's it from what I've seen.

You are right, he's not very good. But he has one thing that Dahm and the others doesn't. Experience, and that's important for Denmark at the IHWC.

You are right about the experience, I would still like to see Dahm get a game. The kid definitely has the talent regardless of how inexperienced he is. Theres only one way to get experience....

and denmark has an easy group. they just need to beat italy to avoid relegation and that sounds more than possible. so they could really get dahm some games or galbraith. how good is galbraith? i know he's 22 and playing in denmark. could he be better than hirsch?

Galbraith is pretty good, actually i don't know if Dahm is that much better right now. IMO he is about the same level as Hirsch, but still lacks experience at the international scene. Hirsch is the only goaile with that experience and he will, unfortubnately, be the starting goalie.

How accurate does this Olympic 2010 / World Cup 2012 lineup for Team Denmark look:

Frans Nielsen - Peter Regin - Jannik Hansen
Mikkel Bødker - Lars Eller - Kim Staal
Kirill Starkov - Nichlas Hardt - Morten Madsen
Morten Green - Jens Nielsen - Mads Christensen
Frederik Storm

Prospects: Sebastian Svendsen, Mark Mieritz (2010? Draft).

Jesper Damgaard - Philip Larsen
Stefan Lassen - Daniel Nielsen
Rasmus Pander - Mads Bødker
Oliver Lauridsen

Prospects: Simon Grønvaldt (2010? Draft).

Peter Hirsch
Sebastian Dahm
Patrick Galbraith

Drafted or players who might be drafted in bold.

Looks pretty accurate to me, IF they qualify to the olympics. But it surely is an exciting team with a lot of young quality talent, atleast considering its Denmark ;)

Forget about Jens Nielsen, he wont be playing anymore, moving back home to Sweden and is around 38 i think.

Kasper Degn and Lasse Degn are also very likely candidates instead. Kasper is heading to sweden or germany to play there next season.

Personally i think theese two guys are the best danes in our leage. If Lasse wants to play he is in my honest opinion ahead of Mads Christensen.

Guys like Mike Grey, Bo Nordby might also be there due to experience.

On the D, i think Christian Schioldan would be prefered instead of Pander. Especially because he is one of the only guys besides Damgaard who can add some physical presence infront of the danish goal.

Btw Dahm will get the chance in Denmarks next exhibition game in Odense against Latvia.

His first game for the national team.

Sebastian Dahm was cut from the national team today. He played half a match and conceived 4 goals. Not all his foult tho.

A man for the future, but not right now it seems. To bad.

Yeah, actually Sebastian himself posted on the Niagara Ice Dogs fan forum about the decision. Sounds like he's disappointed but respects the decision! He'll get his chance one day

It's great to see and from what I can tell Belarus, Germany, and Switzerland might also have improved.

Belarus could have a true #1 line in : A.Kostitsyn - Grabovski - S.Kostitsyn. Maybe more upsets are in the cards...

Germany is improving for sure. And it's great to see, they really started producing some decent players lately, and their youngsters were great in Moscow, and deserved 1/4 much more than Switzerland. And keep in mind that their Moscow team was very, very young and had zero NHLers.

Denmark for sure is the most improved hockey country in last 5-6 years. Their league becomes better aswell, they are on par with Allsvenskan(exept for top teams like Malmo and Leksand) and Vyshaya Liga.

Can anyone provide me with the Danish roster for the game this Friday against Germany? I´m going to this game and hope to see some interesting players. Are Lars Eller and Frans Nielsen with the team?
