Hadn't seen this here yet, sorry if it's a repeat. From today's Trib:
CLOSE CALL: Lightning G prospect Gerald Coleman, a seventh-round pick in the 2003 draft, narrowly escaped serious injury Thursday during practice with the London Knights of the OHL when a skate sliced across his left wrist. His tendon was not cut, only nicked, and the injury required six stitches. Coleman, who is third in the OHL with a 2.40 goals against average, is expected to resume practice Monday.
``It was a fluke accident,'' Coleman told the London (Ontario) Free Press. ``We were practicing the power play, and I was going down to cover a shot when somebody in front skated over my wrist. I just saw the skate right in front of me, then I felt it cut me. I saw the blood gushing from the wrist.''
Coleman was taken to a nearby hospital and spent nearly four hours with a specialist.
