When Oskarshamn defeated Västerås 8-7 in overtime today sniper Jimmy Lindström scored amazing 6 (goals).
must be some kind of record :rolly: :handclap:
(For those that don't know who Jimmy is.. I can tell you he plays for a pretty good team in the 2nd-tier league, Oskarshamn, and is recognized as one of the best scorers in the league. He is born 1977 and is not drafted).

correction.. he 'scored' 5 goals. VIK's player with the same name scored one goal :)

5 is pretty impressive too. I checked his stats and he seems to be a typical goal scorer, something the SEL lacks. Any clues to why he's still in the 2nd tier?

I have seen him play a couple of times this season and what distinguishes him is his boomer for a shot. He has a terrific release/slapshot and is not afraid to use it.
Before this season he had only had one really strong season in the second tier league, but now he has 2 seasons with 30 goals (more or less) and I guess I can see a SEL team looking to sign him.

Jimmy Lindström is my favourite player in Sweden, together with his two Oskarshamn linemates Johan Markusson and Fredric Jaensson.
I think Jimmy has the best shot in Allsvenskan. Amazingly quick release combined with laser aim precision and power.

I don't know if Brynäs are interested any more but he's from Gävle so why not? However, Brynäs will be a Allsvenskan team next year unless they end up third or lower in Kvalserien as they then will be playing Divison 1 next season.
Note that I write this before the games are over tonight. Brynäs will be relegated due to terrible finances. It looks like nothing can save the club. I will be VERY surprised if they avoid the drop.
