What would you guys want for Irbe? I've always liked him. Could he be had with Colorados 3rd round pick in the 2004 draft?

Its a yes if we don't have to pay any of his salary.

Won't get any arguement from me on that.

Although I really do think that is quite an overpayment on your part.

Well you've got to factor in the fact that we just gave up a fourth rounder for Darby Hendrickson.

Wow, that seems like a really steep price to pay.

Tell ya what ... anyone willing to pick up Irbe's entire salary next season can probably have him for the dreaded future considerations.

Dude, wtf? I didn't know that. Lacroix smoking the chiba? Wasn't Hendrickson playing for Houston all season?

Hendrickson got hurt and never really got his spot back with the Wild, but was pretty valuable to them last season as a depth center and penalty killer ... but they have a lot of those, so he's kind of odd man out.

I'm a fan of Hendrickson ... he's a good character guy who gives you quality grit on a depth line, and the Avs have too many skill guys and tough guys and not enough grinders who can play a simple, effective game IMO.

It might be an overpayment, but he'll do well there.
