Ok well I'm a Panthers fan, and my good ol' boy GM wont trade from a solid player whos established himself. (ie, a centerman and #2 hardhitting d-man), ESPECIALLY with the panthers only a few points outta the playoffs.

Now i know with ur team he helped build it? Right?

But who else did he bring in or draft?

Frederick Modin, Sarich, Boyle(from Panthers), quite a few people actually. Significant prospects would be Alexeev, Polushin, and Holmqvist. Had Svitov before we traded him away, and Weekes. gl tommorow, looks like Dudley's going to milk another season; hes already reserving seats @ the draft.

Well it is the reason why he was canned and it wasnt because the fans said "Oh No, not Vinny". Its because the owner didnt want to trade the franchise player.

We dont hate Dudley because of he wanted to trade Vinny. Its because of other stupid moves he made here that kept setting this franchise back when it should have been moving forward. He made the Khabibulin move, good move although Mara is a pretty good defenseman a goalie like Khabi was needed. Picking up Dan Boyle and Martin St. Louis when no one wanted them were great moves to help this team out. He drafted some pretty good prospects including Svitov who was used to acquire Sydor. Modin for Cross has been a steal. Thats about all the good Dudley did. Yet, even with these moves Dudley was still trading away talent for prospects (Aucoin) and kept this franchise in the basement. You can not tell me that Dudley is the sole builder and reason for the Lightning success now because its not true. As well I can not tell you Dudley didnt help this team's current success. I'm tired of all the Dudley arguing. He made bad moves, he made good moves for the Lightning. He wasnt helping this franchise go anywhere and the almost Lecavalier trade is what got him fired. Hes with the Panthers, good for him. Lets move on and quit bringing this topic up.

Most logical thing said in this thread, we Panther fans are tired of people bringing up Dudley "drafting in the front" just as much as Tampa fans are tired of hearing people bring up the Pitkanen trade, whats done is done now move on in your lives and focus on your own team's issues.
