The Ässät site will be opened later this fall. But who wants Ässät jerseys (though they are maybe the best looking in the league)

the girl on the jokerit site is pretty cute...if I buy a jersey, did the girl come with that jersey?? ;) anyway, the jokerit jersey are pretty well looking too imo, I would really like to buy one of these but, the shipping to canada would be very expansive imo!!??!! :dunno:

try mailing jokerit@hartwall-areena.com and ask what the shipping is at. I'd imagine private shipping would be cheaper and I am pretty sure someone here would be glad to help you.

That's a hard question... I have a macedonian friend who is ace in Finnish and I think he had one of those language courses on cassette that he listened to in the car because he had nothing better to do. From what I've heard Finnish is a hard language to learn in little time to just keep conversation while easy when having lots of time and learning all the grammatic rules to speak properly. I haven't heard of any Finnish courses for english or french speakers though...

I have some pretty stupid questions.

First, what team does Tukonen play for and what is his number and are there any of those special accent things on his name (the kind that are on foreign names...the ones like two horizontal dots..)?

Second, I have been interested in ordering a Jokereit jersey or hoody for some time now...On the site, does the little e next to the prices mean English?

Thanks. I might have some more later on...Hopefully I remember to check back for a reply.

Tukonen plays for Espoo Blues and doesn't have any "weird accents" on his name. His # is 28, the € stands for Euro.

Thanks.

Disregard the question about the hoody (hooded sweatshirt). I thought I saw one in a picture but it was just a fleece or something.

Does anyone know if there's a place that sells WJC jerseys. Specifically, i'm looking for a Joni Pitkanen jersey from the WJC. Any help would be appreciated.

You could try to find the SM-Liiga jerseys here:
http://www.handsup.com/skriptit/karpatshop/index.asp

There's an email address in the "ohjeet/tilausehdot"-page, where you can directly ask for the Oulun Kärpät fan jerseys.

Here's a direct link to a page where you can place an order for a fan jersey with your own name:

hey guys, newcomer here. i dont mean to sound like a newbie, but im very interested in purchasing a Liiga Antti Miettinen HPK jersey, i visited the HPK site, but 1 its in Finnish (obviously, and theres no english version), 2 i have no one of Finn origin that i can ask to help, and 3 translators do no good. Can anyone give me a walkthrough on how to purchase one because i dont see any method of payment like a cart or anything.

and what are his jersey details, like his number, and are there any accents in his name?

again i hate asking so many questions, but i think you guys could help alot. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

HPK doesn't have an online store which makes it a bit tricky. There's only a phone number from where you can order items, that's the last one near the top. Can anyone remember how to dial from abroad, is it something like 358-3-65 60 110 (from Finland it's (03) 65 60 110)? Also, there's no guarantee that they'll ship outside Finland and you'll also have to hope that the guy at the other end of the line knows his English.

Provided that they sell jerseys of players who have left the team, the one you want is the third item "Fanipaita painatuksella". If not, you can always have your custom name and number Miettinen and 20, which is the second item "Fanipaita omalla painatuksella". It's a little more expensive, though, especially with the current €/$ exchange rate.

You remembered the phone number correctly. Still there's another way to do it. You can e-mail at HPK office and ask them if they send jerseys abroad. The e-mail address to HPK office is hpk@hpk.fi.

Hi Korkki,and all other members.

I am new to this board and I cannot read/translate Finnish back to English.
Earlier on this season i asked a finnish member of another MB about Assat Jerseys. After about 1 week i received a reply saying that Assat only sold jerseys in the stadium shop on matchnights. Is this true? All help gratefully received.

Hey Andy, you can buy ASSAT shirts on their website, go to this link, and u will see them, "fanipaita". u can get with or without name and number, but cost like EUR 60, and they dont have the sponsors on, and im pretty sure they aint same material as the 'real team shirt'.
It seems this problem exists with most teams - no sponsors on fans shirt, and only way to get the 'real deal' is at the arena, if u r lucky, buy a match worn shirt for about EUR 250, but remember, 5000+ Finnish fans have their eyes on those too ;)

I want an Espoo Blues jersey(like they show on the site, and lettered up as MacLean). I e-mailed the website and they said they don't ship to the US. Does anyone know of any other places where I could purchase a jersey and if possible have MacLean and 10 put on the back? Thanks.

Ok Habs13, here it comes;

New! Stylish, comfortable and very good looking TPS jacket for younger and older fans. On the back magnificent stiched text "TPS Turku" and on front gorgeous team logo.

Something like that... Some quite difficult words to translate.

For the US and Canadians, you might be able to get the jersies here: http://www.rivercitysports.com/cda/

They might not, probably don't, stock them, but they might be able to get them for you. They're THE sports store here in Winnipeg.

A jersey in general, or these specific ones? I bought my Suomi jersey (pro style with fight strap) from there, but I don't know anyone who's purchased the specific jersies we're talking about here. Couldn't hurt to email them though.

Has anyone ordered a Jokerit jersey? From there website? I see the order form, but they say the price of the jersey doesn't include the shipping cost. They ask for a credit card number and expiration date and such, but I'd like to know the shipping and also wonder how long before they charge my card? I've sent a couple emails, but no replys.

Karjala (Karelia in English) is a province located in eastern Finland. After the Winter War between Finland and Soviet Union, eastern parts of Karjala were incorporated into Soviet Union.

Here's a map highlighting the area: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/53/200px-Svpmap_karelia.png

There's also a finnish beer label called Karjala, which sponsors Team Finland and many Sm-Liiga teams.

Mate, save your money...

Im a huge Jokerit fan and would like nothing more than a Jokerit shirt with "50 Metropolit" on the back, but the fans jerseys SUCK. They are VERY poor quality shirts, with a Joker basically ironed on the front. If the jersey didnt have the Joker on, it would be for sale in a hockey shop for $10, but with it, its $69! Its nothing like the CCM one they actually wear, and has NO sponsors on either. :shakehead
