Eazy T 05-03-2009, 03:27 PM One notable, is Richard Zednik, who signed with Yaroslav this year. Others of the past include Jagr, Emery, Yashin and so on but how abot this year? this summer?
This season, I predict Radek Dvorak will go to the KHL.
I heard some team is talking to Chris Osgood and Vityaz wants to sign Brashear.
I heard some team is talking to Chris Osgood and Vityaz wants to sign Brashear.
I hope Vityaz goes bankrupt and is out of the league :sarcasm:
Caniac12 05-03-2009, 05:00 PM Frank Kaberle
jumptheshark 05-03-2009, 06:55 PM Robbie Schremp
Skobel24 05-04-2009, 03:33 AM Sergei Samsonov, Marty Reasoner, Andre Roy, Tyler Arnason, Darren McCarty, Krys Kolanos, maybe Dean McAmmond
Possibly Warrener
Alessandro Seren Rosso 05-04-2009, 03:49 AM I think Afinogenov might end up in the KHL.
Eazy T 05-04-2009, 05:12 PM Guys who basically cant get the payday they want will go to KHL.
wings5 05-04-2009, 07:39 PM Robbie Schremp
Are you joking?
cska78 05-04-2009, 08:43 PM Afinogenov is my guess! Sprukts may be, but he's not really NHL material anyways.
Murphy would be a good fit for KHL.
I would say Brent Johnson. He's gonna be UFA and unless Washington gets rid of Theo, Johnson is gone and I am sure there will be teams who would want to sign him.
The Slovak Sniper 05-04-2009, 11:17 PM I heard some team is talking to Chris Osgood and Vityaz wants to sign Brashear.
Isn't that the team with Verot and Simon? Do they plan on just killing everybody next season?
worstfaceoffmanever 05-05-2009, 01:42 AM Sergei Samsonov, Marty Reasoner, Andre Roy, Tyler Arnason, Darren McCarty, Krys Kolanos, maybe Dean McAmmond
Possibly Warrener
McCarty and McAmmond are too old, Samsonov is under contract with Carolina, and is Warrener even going to play again?
My list:
Miroslav Satan
Maxim Afinogenov
Possibly Ville Peltonen if he doesn't retire.
Brent Johnson
Marek Malik should be able to find a contract somewhere.
Daniel Tjarnqvist
Lasse Kukkonen
Andrew Raycroft if he can find someone who wants him.
Ossi Vaananen
Tomas Mojzis
Josef Melichar
Jason LaBarbera
Radek Dvorak
Dmitri Kalinin
Jason Krog (No, he means it this time.)
Frantisek Kaberle, pending a buyout.
Possibly Ruslan Fedotenko
I would assume that Ryan Vesce would get offers but will likely go back to Sweden or Finland.
It's entirely possible that Gaborik goes east if he doesn't get the money he wants in North America.
cska78 05-05-2009, 06:45 AM good list
I heard some team is talking to Chris Osgood and Vityaz wants to sign Brashear.
Err, I think you meant Manny Legace.
As for Brashear. Well it seems that it's possible and well vityaz are idiots, but as for Brashear you can say that Wade Belaks punch send him to KHL LOL. No offense to KHL but Brashear probably doesn't think that he can be the champ anymore and now wants to earn some bucks befor retirement.
Miroslav Satan
Maxim Afinogenov

I think most of this guys will not be in KHL next season. Espescially doubt about Fedotenko, Gaborik and Peltonen. Mojizis and Krog I doubt it aswell. Tjarnqvist will most likely end somewhere in Rogle or Djurgarden.
Err, I think you meant Manny Legace.
no, the article was about Chris Osgood. You can search russian-hockey.ru for this article
Gaborik
Gaborik would be a sick addition
malkinfan 05-05-2009, 12:26 PM Lisin may return. He is 50/50 right now because management was impressed with him, yet Gretzky doesn't like him. His contract his up and I can guarantee you he wont settle for a two-way.
Nikulin is going back for sure.
Ilya Zubov will probably return if he doesn't make the senators out of camp.
Add Anders Erikson, Jamie Heward to the list.
Maybes: Kolzig, Toskala? I will predict one of the goalies on the leafs roster for sure.
worstfaceoffmanever 05-05-2009, 03:53 PM Maybes: Kolzig, Toskala? I will predict one of the goalies on the leafs roster for sure.
Toskala is under contract, and Kolzig might retire.
cska78 05-05-2009, 05:55 PM Heward? NOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo
Hentunen and Pirnes signed with Jokerit, Atlant and CSKA aren't going to be as good next year, loosing a lot of players.
no, the article was about Chris Osgood. You can search russian-hockey.ru for this article
Osgood is a number 1 goalie in best NHL team, everybody loves him in Detroit even though he's a questionable elite goaltrender. Why would he go to Russia? Sounds insane.
malkinfan 05-05-2009, 09:54 PM Toskala is under contract, and Kolzig might retire.
Well they are pursuing that swedish goalie at the WC like crazy, and I think Gerber is still under contract - that leads an odd man out.
Jag68Sid87 05-05-2009, 10:17 PM I think Petr Sykora may leave for the KHL. He's already playing like a guy who is ready to play out the string. Miroslav Satan is another strong candidate.
Alessandro Seren Rosso 05-06-2009, 02:20 AM Heward? NOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo
Hentunen and Pirnes signed with Jokerit, Atlant and CSKA aren't going to be as good next year, loosing a lot of players.
Wait for the season to start. I think CSKA is going to have a strong roster. That said, I'm not a fan of Nemchinov
silverbembel 05-06-2009, 02:40 AM A Swedish report on Monday said that goalie Mikael Tellqvist has signed with Ak Bars Kazan of the Russian Continental Hockey League for next season. The deal is believed to be worth about $1.3 million, a raise of $500,000 from Tellqvist's NHL salary this past year.

That's if we find a sponsor instead of that company that dropped us, they giving 18mil a year...
Who is a fan of Nemchinov nowadays? Just too much hype about the way he coaches and puts the U-20 teams together.
khlman 05-06-2009, 05:23 PM Sergei Samsonov, Marty Reasoner, Andre Roy, Tyler Arnason, Darren McCarty, Krys Kolanos, maybe Dean McAmmond

Atlanta and I'm sure many others want Reasoner.
I'll say Alexei Semenov.
malkinfan 05-08-2009, 12:27 AM http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=277510
What, they cannot afford Norrena? He did win a championship.

Does anyone want him in Russia?)))
worstfaceoffmanever 05-09-2009, 07:46 PM Well they are pursuing that swedish goalie at the WC like crazy, and I think Gerber is still under contract - that leads an odd man out.
Gerber is a free agent. Toronto likely wouldn't have picked him up otherwise.

He'll remain a Canucks. He's a Burnaby boy and grew up with Vancouver as his favourite team, and has played well here in Vancouver. I don't see him leaving.
Also, I doubt Gaborik will jump ship either. Everyone else I more or less agree with.
Matt714* 05-09-2009, 10:57 PM I'm surprised no one mentioned Peter Budaj.
On a side note, any link to that article about Osgood ?
malkinfan 05-09-2009, 11:29 PM I'll say Alexei Semenov.
Never really found success in Russia. He is built for the NA game.
orange puck 05-10-2009, 12:07 PM Miroslav Satan IMO is done in the NHL. Don't know if he'd be wanted in the KHL.
Viktor Kozlov is going to SKA per allhockey.ru

I want Satan on my team on large sheet of ice for sure!
malkinfan 05-11-2009, 10:59 PM Viktor Kozlov is going to SKA per allhockey.ru
I can't see Washington not re-upping both kozlov and Fedorov with the way they are playing in the playoffs. kozlov has great chemistry with OV.

No chance, it's either Washington or retire for him.
No chance, it's either Washington or retire for him.
Federov has said he wants to fininsh his career in Russia.
cska78 05-15-2009, 10:00 AM I can see Fedorov helping out Fetisov and Nemchinov in CSKA for a year.
malkinfan 05-15-2009, 11:04 AM Federov has said he wants to fininsh his career in Russia.
He also said he wanted to retire last year, look what happened, we'll wait and see.
Eazy T 05-15-2009, 10:18 PM A few more come to mind,
-Ville Peltonen
-Joey MacDonald
-Adam Hall
-Enver Lisin
-Joakim Lindstrom
-Eric Perrin
He also said he wanted to retire last year, look what happened, we'll wait and see.
Fedorov meant 'retire' from the NHL. It was between him signing with Washington or SKA.
Rumor: Sergey Fedorov to Magnitka per allhockey.ru
cska78 05-25-2009, 03:34 PM this rumor is very close to being the truth, they had signed his brother earlier.
Fedorov is done deal according to Sport Express
Peter25 05-26-2009, 09:08 AM Viktor Kozlov to Ufa.

I don't know why Lisin and Lindstrom would go since they went through all that trouble to make the NHL.
malkinfan 05-26-2009, 05:53 PM I don't know why everyone hates the guy. The Fedorov, Kozlov, Ovechkin line was awesome through out the playoffs. I still think he is a good NHL player.

Ha, thats true.. ;)
khlman 05-28-2009, 05:42 PM Khabibulin is a free agent. Will he end up in the KHL next year, after his next NHL contract, or not at all?
silverbembel 06-02-2009, 03:57 PM Centre Marek Zagrapan will play in Russia next season whether the Buffalo Sabres like it or not.
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=280664
Khabibulin is a free agent. Will he end up in the KHL next year, after his next NHL contract, or not at all?
I am sure he will get a lot of attention from the KHL clubs. There's no russian goalie in the KHL who is as good as the Bulin Wall in terms of skills. However, his last season was solid and he may get offers from the NHL clubs as well, so it's up to him(and his wife ) where he wants to continue his career.
