THe only thing related to the Canucks is Nick Petersen's offer should read 3 years. I know my offer was three years and he's in the 21 and under category so it should.

Also, just to confirm, there can be no priority offers in the second round?

Correct - mine was three years as well, I believe.

I honestly don't recall how this was done in past years. That said, if there were, I suspect that teams unwilling to make a playe a priority would be somewhat less than likely to secure the contested player's sevices.

Regarding the priority thing for round 2....

I have no idea what the official rule is as this is my first time through FA as a GM. If all these players were high enough priority for a team to win the chance to go to a 2nd round of bidding doesn't that mean people wanted to sign all of them? Otherwise wouldn't they have signed the one at the top of the list and all others would be ignored? Seems odd to have the option to re-rank them based on who may/may not sign in the 2nd round.

Well for example...

Corey Cowick and Nicola Riopel were lower on my list.. But i offered the same amount as STL and ANH.. I have yet to acquire the 4 prospects i set out to get, so these are all potential 4th picks for me.. if these were all ignored then i might forefit my right to get 4 prospects when i've only acquired 3 thus far.

However in my situation i would prefer to give STL and ANH priority over these guys, if they give the same offer (assuming they haven't already) I'm willing to concede 2nd round voting in their favor.

So long as I'm still in the running for Thiessen and Gustavsson, I'm okay with PHX backing off of Riopel.

San Jose will be in the lottery for both players.
