50 NHL game limit this season to play in AHL next season

Sounds like the NHL brass has informally agreed that guys on 2 way deals who played 50 or more NHL games this season won't be permitted to play in the AHL next season if there's a lockout.

(Derek) Roy was held out of the lineup in Montreal to prevent him from playing his 50th NHL game, a figure some executives are projecting as a line of demarcation in determining whether a player with minor-league options will be able to spend next season in the AHL if there's a lockout.
