Goalie, Betz?

There's been a big mess with the Steelheads (ECHL team) lately. First round of the playoffs, Salt Lake (AHL affiliate) was supposed to send Ellis down to play goalie for us, but then they realized if he played that he couldn't go back up to play for them if they make it into the playoffs. Add to that our main goalie couldn't play game one because of injury.

So it looks like we had signed Betz, but I don't know much about him. We lost game 1, and he didn't play for game 2. I'm going to tonights game but not sure who will be in net tonight. Anyways, any info about Betz would be appreciated.

He graduates from Ohio State this June. He was the starter for much of the season. He went 17-13-0 w/3 SOs. His save pecentage was ok (2.67), but his .899 save percentage wasn't anything to write home about. He struggled with being consistent this season, especially towards the latter stages of the CCHA regular season and early in the CCHA playoffs. Eventually, lost the post-season starting job to sophomore Dave Caruso.
