Its a program that you can use to do simple things simply, or complicated things fairly simply as well. Don't be afraid to start with photoshop. But don't be discouraged when your not making amazing masterpieces right away. try this site out for some tutorials to follow to get an idea of how to create some effects. http://www.tutorialking.eu/category/abstract-effect.html Sometimes the lingo they use can be confusing because your not used to the features of photoshop, but even just looking at how it comes together piece by piece can be very helpful.
